“One of the biggest regrets I have… is not taking more photos with the boys.”

This is a crash course in field photography - take photos when no one is posing… take photos of the dummest shit you saw on any given field problem… the most mundane barracks shenanigans ever heard of… the incredible port-a-jon art… the good and the bad.

Because years from now, having a record of those moments will mean everything.

This is a crash course in field photography - the gear, the philosophy, and the strategies I used while serving as an airborne infantryman to document moments I had no idea would matter to me. These photos are all I have left of too many of my brothers - the imperfection of the photo itself is a strength.

This course is all about the basics - no rocket surgery here - just a core set of skills, tips, and philosophies to make you dangerous without compromising the packing list or the mission. You don’t have to be a photographer to take great photos… photographs are all about the story they tell.
